Become part of the Stand Up Paddle (SUP) community

Help us stand up to federal, state, and local regulators and agencies who are trying to impose unnecessary and unsafe regulations on SUP, such as  classifying stand up paddleboards as vessels, and requiring users to wear life jackets on our oceans, rivers, lakes and streams

What Do Members Receive?

As members you have the opportunity to participate in our online community and share your thoughts and recommendations on legislation and regulation first hand.

Members also receive the FREESUP Quarterly Newsletter where you will get the first-hand, up-to-the-minute “scoop” on proposed legislation and regulations, and learn what you can do about it.

You will be invited to join the FREESUP online Quarterly SUP Talk Story Conference, where you will hear from familiar friends, SUP celebrities, leaders, and new friends in the SUP world, who are all interested in keeping SUP FREE.  We will share ideas together, and your ideas will become part of the story of zero SUP regulation that will be shared with the Federal Agencies.  You will also gain access to videos, additional research views on proposed regulation and learn what you can do in your SUP communities to stop arbitrary legislation.

We need to stand up for what we love – it’s time to use our voices to support what we love.  There’s nothing more freeing than being out SUP surfing, paddling on the open ocean, down a stream, or on a river or lake.  It’s one of our true answers to peacefulness in nature.  We have a right to choose if we want to wear a life jacket, and SUPs should not be classified as a “vessel.”
